Travelers Leave Nearly One-Million Dollars Behind At TSA Checkpoints

(DC)- A new report says travelers left nearly one-million-dollars behind as they passed through the nation’s airport checkpoints.  In its yearly unclaimed money report to Congress for 2018, the TSA says it collected more than 960-thousand-dollars left behind in checkpoint bins, including loose change and envelopes of cash.  Locally, Dulles International collected just over 31-thousand-dollars, BWI found nearly 15-thousand-dollars and Reagan National saw more than 14-thousand-dollars. The TSA plans to use the unclaimed money for checkpoint training requirements.
