(Richmond)- The findings of an independent investigation into a racist picture in Governor Northam’s 1984 medical school yearbook will be released today. The picture shows a man in blackface and another in a Ku Klux Klan hood and robe. Northam apologized earlier this year for being in the photo, but later denied that he was either person. Eastern Virginia Medical School enlisted a former Virginia attorney general to find the truth about the photo and the practices surrounding yearbooks at the school.
