(Cleveland, VA)- Five men who were trapped in a cave in southwestern Virginia are now safe. The coordinator for the Russell County Emergency Management says the group decided to explore a cave on private property on Friday night. They became trapped Saturday night when rain caused the ground inside the cave to become slippery. Emergency crews were able to rescue all five yesterday afternoon. They were taken to the hospital for observation.
