(Richmond)- A new poll shows the approval rating for Governor Northam and two other top state officials is lower than a few months ago. A study published by the Wason Center for Public Policy at Christopher Newport University revealed Northam’s approval rating has dropped almost 20 points to only 40-percent since December. The drop has been since the blackface scandal rocked the state. Attorney General Mark Herring and Lieutenant Governor Justin Fairfax’s approval ratings both dropped four points. Fairfax faces sexual assault allegations.
