(Richmond)- The push to ban cellphones from the hands of Virginia’s drivers is heading back to state lawmakers. Governor Northam made a last minute amendment to a bill yesterday that bans cellphones in highway construction zones only. The proposal to add all roads to the bill will be addressed when lawmakers return to the State Capitol in early April. Virginia’s drivers are currently only prohibited from texting and handling emails while behind the wheel.
