(Richmond)- Governor Northam wants to replace Central State Hospital. He said yesterday that he’s going to propose amendments so a new psychiatric facility can be built in Virginia. Central State Hospital is the only maximum-security psych hospital in the commonwealth. They deal with some of Virginia’s most violent mental patients. Northam says the hospital is out of date and not the kind of facility they want for the treatment of our mental patients.
