(DC)- There are still several weeks left before the DC cherry blossoms reach peak bloom. The National Park Service says they expect the cherry blossoms will reach their peak bloom between April 3rd and April 6th. Peak bloom lasts for several days but can last up to two weeks with ideal weather. The best time to visit the trees on the Tidal Basin is four-to-seven days after peak. This year’s annual National Cherry Blossom Festival runs from March 20th through April 14th.
