(DC)- Late-night Metro rail service will be making a come back but not until 2020. The Metro board voted to keep limited operating hours for Metro rail repairs until July of next year. The Metro Board Chairman says the measure gives Metro time for much needed maintenance. Rail service currently stops at 11:30 p.m. on weeknights and 1:00 a.m. on the weekends. Starting next year trains will run until midnight on weekdays and until 3:00 a.m. on weekends. Adjusted service hours were put in place in 2016 for repair work.
