GOP, Democrats Still At Odds On Lieutenant Governor Investigation

(Richmond)- House Republicans and Democrats continue to fight on how to handle sexual assault allegations against the Lieutenant Governor. House Speaker Kirk Cox says Democrats are ignoring his efforts to begin an investigation led by the General Assembly. He has proposed creating a bipartisan subcommittee to hear allegations from the two accusers of Justin Fairfax. House Minority Leader Eileen Filler-Corn told the Richmond Times-Dispatch yesterday that they’re not interested in a political show.
