School Board Holds Public Hearing Over Transgender Bathroom Policy

(Gloucester)- The Gloucester County School Board will hear from the public tomorrow on a proposal for transgender students. The policy would allow the student to use the restroom consistent with their asserted gender identity. Former student Gavin Grimm has been in a legal battle for four years after he was forced to use an alternative restroom at Gloucester High School. The now-19-year-old says he doesn’t want other transgender students to go through the same humiliation and pain. The Stafford School Board is considering a proposal.
