Lawmakers Pass Bill To Raise Age Of Tobacco Purchases

(Richmond)- The minimum age to purchase tobacco in Virginia is on its way to increasing.  The state House passed a Senate bill yesterday that raises the minimum age from 18 to 21 for anyone looking to buy tobacco and nicotine vapor products.  Active duty military will still be able to purchase at age 18.  House Speaker Kirk Cox says something needed to be done about the increasing use of vaping products.
