Prominent Leaders In The Black Community Back Northam

(Richmond)-  Some leaders of Virginia’s black community want to give Governor Ralph Northam a second chance.  For more than a week, Governor Northam has been under national scrutiny for a racist picture found on his 1984 yearbook page.  Yesterday, the governor found some allies.  Five prominent figures in the Commonwealth’s black community spoke in front of the state capitol calling to forgive Governor Northam.  Former Richmond Councilman Henry Richardson said rather than wallowing in a desire for revenge, we can use this as an opportunity to advance the cause of African Americans in this country.
