(Alexandria)- Animal Planet’s 15th annual Puppy Bowl will broadcast just a few hours before Super Bowl 53. The 93 puppies featured in the bowl come from 53 different shelters across the United States, with 36 of them having special needs. One of the dogs named Pirate, is a Spaniel-McNab mix from the Animal Welfare League in Alexandria. The 2019 Puppy Bowl will air on Animal Planet at 3 p.m. this Sunday, February 3rd.
