(Alexandria)- Alexandria officials are sounding the alarm over drug use in Alexandria. Police say over the weekend, officers responded to four suspected opioid overdoses in just 72 hours, including the death of two women. City officials are hoping their warning will reach those struggling with addiction. Captain Gregg Ladislaw, with the Alexandria Police Department, says their primary focus is getting drug victims into help and treatment. Officials also want people to know about the drug NARCAN which is used to reverse the effects of an overdose.
