Coal Ash Clean-Up Bill Moves Through Committee

(Richmond)- A bill requiring the clean-up of coal ash in Virginia is through one Senate committee at the state capitol.  The proposal would force Dominion Energy to recycle as much coal ash as possible from its ponds before sending the rest to landfills.  Officials estimate that the clean-up will cost over five-billion-dollars, which would fall on the shoulders of Dominion Energy customers.  The bill now moves to the Senate Finance Committee.
