(Arlington)- Washington-Lee High School in Arlington is changing names. The school board voted unanimously last night to remove Confederate General Robert E. Lee’s name from the school and call it Washington-Liberty. A committee recommendation of renaming it Washington-Loving was turned down. The Lovings were a Caroline County couple that helped strike down a ban on interracial marriage.
