(Richmond)- Governor Ralph Northam is making a push to have coal ash removed from unlined ponds in Virginia. The proposal unveiled yesterday would call for Dominion Energy to dig up and recycle as much coal ash as possible. The rest would be placed in lined landfills. Northam said he didn’t want a repeat of coal ash that has infiltrated North Carolina’s waterways over the past few years.
