(DC)- An outgoing Virginia congressman is blasting a report that accused him of using staff for personal errands. The U.S. House Committee on Ethics said yesterday that Tom Garrett advised staff to perform those tasks without compensation. The Fifth District Representative said the report contained lies and the investigation was destructive. The committee has no jurisdiction over Garrett because he is leaving office today.
