(Lancaster)- A Mexican national who was arrested in the Northern Neck is back in Mexico charged with murder. Jose Melendez entered the U.S. in September, but immigration officials were quickly notified that he was the suspect in a Mexican double homicide. Homeland Security arrested him in Lancaster County and he was removed from the country earlier this week. Immigration officials say aliens that commit crimes outside the United States won’t be granted safe haven here.
