(Louisa)- A Louisa County man is going to prison for killing his girlfriend. Yesterday a jury found Gregory Veres guilty of intentionally running over his girlfriend with a car in 2017. Prosecutors say they were fighting, and when she got out of the car to walk home, he veered off the road going 60-miles-per-hour and ran her down. Veres’ defense argued that he was too drunk to know what he was doing. The jury recommended he be sentenced to life in prison, plus ten-years.
