(Richmond)- Authorities are investigating after bomb threats were emailed to several locations across Virginia yesterday. Places across the country were targeted by a mass email threatening to detonate bombs if bitcoin cryptocurrency wasn’t paid to the unknown sender. The threats caused several evacuations and sweeps of buildings. It’s still unclear if the threats are connected, but the FBI and local law enforcement are working to determine who is responsible. Threats were reported in Richmond, Chesterfield , Henrico, Hanover, Norfolk, Virginia Beach, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and York County.
