No Sentencing Recommended Yet For Fields

(Charlottesville)- A Charlottesville jury is still deliberating a sentence recommendation for James Fields. He was found guilty on Friday of first degree murder and nine other charges in a violent attack during the Unite the Right rally in August 2017. A forensic psychology expert testified yesterday that Fields was diagnosed with bipolar disorder as a young child, but wasn’t legally insane on the day he drove his car into counterprotesters in Charlottesville. Jurors are scheduled to consider sentencing again today.
