(Richmond)- While most people were taking it easy this Thanksgiving weekend, Virginia State Police were not. Troopers wrote nearly 75-hundred speeding tickets in five days. They also wrote more than two-thousand reckless driving tickets and made more than 100 DUI arrests. The idea was to keep the roads safe, but a dozen people still died in Virginia crashes between Wednesday and Sunday. This is two less fatalities than the same time period last year.
