(Richmond)- Virginia’s attorney general is planning to introduce anti-hate crime legislation in the next General Assembly. Mark Herring has been unsuccessful in two previous attempts with legislators. Herring says he hopes lawmakers will see it differently as hate crimes continue to rise. Part of the proposal’s aim is to identify white-supremacist or hate groups before acts of violence are committed.
