(Richmond)- Rodney Robinson is the 2019 Virginia Teacher of the Year. He teaches at the Virgie Binford Educational Center inside Richmond’s Juvenile Detention Center. He says this honor should be for his students, who are succeeding against all odds. Stafford teacher Dan Reichard from Kate Waller Barrett Elementary was a finalist.
