(Staunton)- The Augusta County school district is preparing to install solar panels at seven of its schools. The district’s operations director told the Staunton News Leader that it will be the largest solar array in Virginia’s public school division. The more-than-five-thousand panels will reportedly be enough to supply each school with one-third of its electricity. They are expected to save around half-a-million dollars over a 20 year span.
