Five Tornadoes Confirmed In The Richmond Metro Area

(Richmond)- The National Weather Service is confirming that on Monday at least five tornadoes touched down in Central Virginia. The wind speed of the tornadoes ranged from 75 to 125 miles per hour. They caused widespread destruction in Chesterfield, Henrico, Hanover and Powhatan Counties. The Chesterfield County tornado was the strongest, bringing down the Old Dominion Floor warehouse on Speeks Drive and killing an employee. There were no other reported injuries.
