(Richmond)- The Virginia Department of Health says 12 human cases of the West Nile Virus have now been reported so far this year. The cases stem from multiple locations throughout the state. Health officials are reminding residents that it is still the middle of mosquito season, as August and September are the most active months for diseases such as West Nile Virus.
