(DC)- Today’s heat is bringing with it an air quality alert. There’s a Code Orange Air Quality Alert for today in the DC metro area. Air pollution concentrations may become unhealthy for sensitive groups, including children, people suffering from asthma, heart disease or other lung diseases and the elderly. The National Weather Service says temperatures will get into the upper 90s, with heat index values as high as 105. Similar temperatures are expected tomorrow.
