(Stafford)- From the Stafford Sheriff’s Office:

Two suspects were apprehended on Tuesday night by deputies with the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office for their involvement in recent robberies targeting local pizza delivery drivers.

On January 12, 2018 at approximately 9:30 p.m., Stafford deputies responded to reports of a robbery targeting a Papa John’s pizza delivery driver in the area of Bunker Lane in Stafford. When the driver approached the front door of the residence, two men came around the corner and punched the driver in the chest before knocking him onto the ground. A pizza and $5.00 were stolen from the victim.

A robbery involving the same phone number and address occurred a couple days later. On January 14, 2018, deputies received a report from a Domino’s delivery driver who said he had been robbed the previous evening.

When the victim attempted to deliver a pizza to a residence on Bunker Lane—the same address as the robbery against the Papa John’s delivery driver—two men with bandanas covering their faces approached him, punched him in the chest, and then demanded money. They stole approximately $50.00 and took the pizza.

The Sheriff’s Office subsequently alerted all pizza delivery businesses in the area of the robbery and advised them to report any suspicious activity. The businesses were warned not to take orders from the phone number and address connected with the robberies. Several businesses later contacted the Sheriff’s Office regarding attempts to make an order from that number.

Master Detectives B. Surles and E. McCullough directed an investigation that led to the location and subsequent arrest of the two suspects, a 16-year old juvenile and Tyreece Marquis Watson, 18, of Stafford. A stolen pizza bag was discovered inside the residence of one of the suspects as a result of a search warrant obtained by detectives.

The juvenile was transported to the Juvenile Detention Center and Watson was incarcerated at Rappahannock Regional Jail. The charges against the suspects include robbery, conspiracy to commit a felony, larceny, and assault and battery.
