(Spotsylvania)- The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office says an 80-year-old man is in the Rappahannock Regional Jail after killing his neighbor over a property dispute. Authorities say there had been a long-standing dispute between Larry Johnston and his 65-year-old neighbor about the property boundaries in the 72-hundred block of Young Lane off Gordon Road. The dispute escalated yesterday around 12:45 when the victim had a landscaping crew doing work. Police say Johnston shot the victim in the chest as he confronted him about work on his property. Police have not released the name of the victim.
