(Fredericksburg) From VDOT:

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) encourages Fredericksburg area residents to prepare for a winter storm that could make travel hazardous at the peak of the evening commute on Monday evening.
Several inches of snow are forecast to fall across the Fredericksburg region starting Monday night into Tuesday. Road conditions may quickly become slick.
Drivers should plan to arrive at their destination Monday before snow begins, and plan to stay off the roads during the storm.
The storm is expected to begin as rain and transition to snow. Rain and lighter snow accumulation is forecast for the central Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula. Rain is anticipated for coastal areas in the eastern Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula.
Drivers should be aware that heavier snowfall is forecast for areas north and west of the Fredericksburg region.
VDOT has staged equipment and prepared materials for snow removal. Crews will mobilize ahead of the storm in emergency operations Monday to plow roads and spread sand, salt and treatment chemicals. Crews will remain at work 24 hours a day, in 12-hour shifts, until all roads are open for travel.
Around 1,000 trucks and pieces of equipment are available in the 14-county Fredericksburg District for snow removal operations, and are deployed as conditions merit.
