No Injuries In Spotsy Townhouse Fire

(Spotsylvania)- No injuries in an early morning townhouse fire in Spotsylvania. Fire fighters were called to 9804 West Midland Way just after 5am. It took crews about an hour to bring everything under control.
An occupant on one of the townhomes noticed the fire and called the Spotsylvania Emergency Communications 9-1-1 Center to report it. Smoke alarms were present and working in the homes as well. All occupants had evacuated prior to the arrival of first responders. In total, three townhomes were damaged by the blaze. Although occupants were displaced, none required assistance from the Red Cross or other agencies. No civilian or firefighter injuries were reported.
Thirteen fire and rescue units with 30 firefighters from the Spotsylvania County Department of Fire, Rescue and Emergency Management were on scene to extinguish the fire. The Spotsylvania County Fire Marshals are investigating to determine the cause.
