GCC Chosen for Duel-Enrollment Test

(Locust Grove)- Germanna Community College will participate in a federal experiment that will allow low-income students to get grants to take college courses while still in high school. Germanna is among 44 colleges nationwide that have been selected for the groundbreaking program, which gives high-schoolers access to Pell Grants. Germanna President David Sam says that too often, dual-enrollment courses are available only to families who can afford the tuition, books and fees. The pilot program will impact dual-enrollment programs Germanna offers in Orange and Culpeper counties
