Fewer Teachers At Job Fairs

(Spotsylvania)- Spotsylvania School Board members Bill Blaine and Dawn Shelley say they are seeing results of a teacher shortage. Fewer people are attending regional job fairs for teachers. Blaine says there were about 40% fewer at a weekend event. Another problem: Shelley says Spotsylvania couldn’t offer teacher contracts at the job fair because the Board of Supervisors hasn’t settled on a school budget yet. That could come tonight. Stafford and King George were offering contracts. Shelley says she hopes Spotsylvania doesn’t miss out out on teachers.
