Drug Busts In Caroline

(Caroline)- caroline drugsThe Caroline County Sheriff’s Office narcotics investigators, deputies and members of the Tri-County Narcotics Task Force; comprised of the Caroline Sheriff’s Office, the King George County Sheriff’s Office, the Westmoreland County Sheriff’s Office, the Virginia State Police and the Naval Criminal Investigative Services executed a drug-related search warrant at a home in the Campbell’s Creek sub-division. Investigators reported seizing cocaine with an estimated street value of $500.00, numerous plastic storage bags containing what is believed to be cocaine residues, digital weight scales, nearly $3000.00 cash and a Chevrolet van. 40-year-old John Frye of Ruther Glen was arrested and charged with possessing cocaine with the intent to distribute. Frye was issued a secured bond at the Pamunkey Regional Jail.

Meantime, narcotics Investigators and deputies executed a drug-related search warrant at a residence in the Bridlewood subdivision in the Ladysmith area. Investigators reported seizing heroin with an estimated street value of $3100.00, numerous plastic storage bags containing what is believed to be heroin residues, digital weight scales, a small amount of suspected marijuana, an AK-47 semi-automatic rifle, an AR-15 semi-automatic rifle, a 12 gauge shotgun and $3500.00 cash. 27-year-old Joshua Renner of Ruther Glen was arrested and charged with possessing heroin with the intent to distribute, possession of a firearm while in possession of heroin and possession of marijuana. Renner is being held without bond at the Pamunkey Regional Jail.
