Culpeper Man Sentenced to 14 Years in Prison

(Charlottesville)- A Culpeper father will spend 14 years in prison for selling about 25 grams of heroin and crack cocaine to a confidential informant working for the DEA and Blue Ridge Narcotics & Gang Task Force. 40 year old Paul Brown was sentenced yesterday in federal court in Charlottesville after pleading guilty in December. Brown was a “career offender,” the court said, due to at least two prior felony offenses. The Blue Ridge Narcotics and Gang Task Force is comprised of detectives and Investigators from the Culpeper Police Department, Culpeper Sheriff’s Office, Fauquier Sheriff’s Office, Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Madison County Sheriff’s Office, Orange Police Department, Orange County Sheriff’s Office and Special Agents from the Virginia State Police.
