Cherry Blossom Time

(DC)- Today’s the day to see the cherry blossoms. The National Park Service says peak bloom will occur sometime today. Peak bloom is when at least 70-percent of the trees are in bloom. Peak bloom is happening a little earlier than normal. The Park Service says it usually happens in the last week of March or first week of April. Last year, peak bloom didn’t happen until April 10th. Big crowds are expected. The Park Service says it will be most crowded between evening rush hour and nightfall.
