Bank Robbery in Stafford

(Stafford)- The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office says a bank robbery occurred at the PNC Bank, 2864 Jefferson Davis Hwy in Stafford this afternoon.

Bank employees reported that the suspect entered the bank about 4pm, walked up to the teller window and handed over a note demanding money. The teller provided the suspect with an undisclosed amount of money. No weapon was displayed during the robbery. The suspect was last seen on foot heading east toward the back of the Aquia Towne Center.

The male suspect is described as a medium build white male, 35-40 years of age, wearing a black t-shirt covered by a black jacket, light colored ripped blue jeans and an olive/khaki ball cap. The suspect had a well-groomed beard.

The suspect from the earlier reported robbery at the Cardinal Bank was seen in the PNC Bank just prior to the robbery. It is believed that the two bank robberies are connected.
