(Stafford) From the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department:

The first day of 2016 brought plenty of excitement for the Stafford Volunteer Fire Department. At approximately 4:30pm Truck 2 was dispatched to a residential fire in the Hartwood area.

As the first arriving truck company the crew was tasked by command to assist Rockhill Volunteer Fire Department’s Engine 8 and Tanker 8, Hartwood Volunteer Fire Department’s Tanker 6, Falmouth Volunteers’ Rescue 1, and Stafford County Fire and Rescue Department’s Rescue Engine 14, Engine 4, Engine 9, Tanker 5, Medic 14 and Medic 6 by throwing ladders and securing utilities. Mutual aid was provided by the Goldvein Volunteer Fire Department’s Tanker 1108 and Fredericksburg Fire Department’s Tower Ladder 1.

At approximately 6:45pm Engine 2 was dispatched to a fully involved automobile endangering a townhouse. We’d like to thank Engine 9 and Medic 2 for the assistance they provided. The crews from all departments involved worked together well and both incidents were resolved in a timely manner.
