From the Stafford Sheriff’s Office:

The Stafford County Sheriff’s Office is reporting the investigation as to the whereabouts of Lance Buckley continues.

Late yesterday afternoon, as the investigation continued, the phone that belonged to Lance Buckley was electronically located, very briefly, in the area of Blockhouse Point Conservation Park in Montgomery County, Maryland. The Montgomery County Police Department initiated a search in that area but Lance Buckley was not located. The investigation continues.

Lance Buckley was last seen by family members at 7:10am on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 when he was dropped off at the Staffordboro Commuter Lot where he usually “slugs” to Howard University where he is currently enrolled in a PhD program. He was on his way to pick up his “graduation packet” for graduation scheduled for this Saturday. Lance Buckley’s wife received a text message from her husband at approximately 10:16 am yesterday morning from the area of Howard University. The contents of the text indicate that it was from Lance Buckley. However, Lance Buckley did not show up for a scheduled meeting at 12:00 noon yesterday at the University and his family has had no contact with him since the 10:16 am text. It is out of character for Lance Buckley to not keep in contact with his family during the day.

Lance Buckley is described as a 33 year old white male, 5’11, and 150 pounds with brown hair. He was last seen wearing blue jeans, a dark colored t-shirt and gray Converse Chuck Taylor sneakers.

Anyone who has seen Lance Buckley or knows his whereabouts is asked to contact the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office at 540-658-4400, call Crime Solvers at 540-659-2020 (callers may remain anonymous) or TEXT “Stafford” + your tip to CRIMES (274637)
