Caroline Teen Will Be Tried as an Adult

CAROLINE COUNTY – A prosecutor says a 15-year-old charged in a weekend shooting death will be tried as an adult. The teen’s accused of murdering another Caroline High School student and appeared in juvenile court yesterday for an arraignment. He’s also facing a weapons charge in the death of 16-year-old Elijah Ball of Bowling Green, who was shot to death outside the YMCA near Ruther Glen.

Caroline Sheriff Tony Lippa joined arms with other people Monday evening for a unity march in response to the shooting death of a teenager, Elijah Ball. A group, including the boy’s parents, gathered at Caroline High School to pray for peace, solidarity and understanding. Oxford Mount Zion Pastor Duane Fields says it was not just to mourn the loss but to come together as a community.
