If Ebola is suspected around here, will you change your habits? Will you stay home more? Will you keep you kids home from school?
  Yes...lock-down mode!
Probably not...but I’ll need to think about it!
Absolutely not...the government has it under control!

Spotsy Teachers Plead For More Money

Spotsylvania (WFVA)  -- Spotsylvania teachers say it's time for the county to provide pay increases.  Recent budgets have not included salary increases.  Courtland High School teacher Sandra Barnstead told the School Board she's all about teaching and education. "During the day I teach.  At night I plan lessons and grade papers. I take an active role in my professional association and I continue to purse classes in education.    A few weeks ago a non-teacher friend told me that when they feel busy and overwhelmed they just think of me and they don't feel as bad.   What they don't know is that this is the life of an educator and I know I am not the busiest one in Spotsylvania."  School Board officials say they hope to be able to provide teacher raises in the next budget.  The Board of Supervisors has the final say on school funding.
