Stafford Seeks To Do Archeology At Indian Point

Stafford (WFVA)  -- Stafford Supervisors have voted to ask the developer of some homes on Indian Point for permission to do an archeological study.  A formal letter will issued.  An Indian village was previously found near the site on Marlborough Point. Supervisor Paul Milde says he would like to see an official county policy developed. "There's so little we can do to try to not develop on top of these resources," Milde said. He would like to see an overlay district developed.  "Almost anywhere you step on Marlborough Point there's some amazing things under your feet," he said.    Board members Stimpson and Snellings favored informal talks with the developer instead of sending a letter.
