Spotsylvania (WFVA) -- Spotsylvania Supervisors said yes last night to the 425 home mixed use development at New Post. What a difference eight years makes. Supervisor David Ross called it one of the best developments he'd seen in his two years on the board. Board member Gary Skinner said concerns about lighting and night training by Fort AP Hill will be resolved. "We're not going to do anything that is going to hurt their training at Fort AP Hill," Skinner said. This is a smaller version of a project that Supervisor turned down eight years ago. Developer Mike Jones with Tricord said developing New Post will create over 11-hundred construction jobs. Jones said many people who lost jobs when the economy fell will be re-hired.
