Spotsylvania (WFVA) -- Talk to your kids about safety. So says former FBI profiler and Spotsylvania resident Clint Van Zandt. "We have to make our kids wise consumers of life," he said. "We don't want them to be paranoid and yet we want them to understand the threats of life." Some tips: Van Zandt said tell your kids never to get into a car with strangers. If someone tries to grab them they should yell. He said have a secret code word that a stranger must know before your kids would go with them. Van Zandt said actively watch who is in your neighborhood. He said if something looks suspicious, call the police. Let them investigate.
