RACSB Accepting Nominations for Distinguished Volunteer Awards

Fredericksburg, VA -- The Rappahannock Area Community Services Board (RACSB) is currently accepting nominations for its 28th annual Distinguished Volunteer Awards in the areas of Mental Health, Intellectual Disability, and Substance Abuse. The awards will be presented at clinic open house events for area legislators and community members in October.

The community is encouraged to submit nominations. The following ...criteria will be used for the selection of the 2013 recipients: creativity; initiative; leadership; dependability; inter-relationship with co-workers, the public and clients; and any usual or outstanding acts or performance. The nominated individual should be a volunteer and not compensated for his/her acts. In addition, s/he should not be a past recipient.

RACSB Executive Director Ron Branscome shares “RACSB is pleased to continue this annual tradition of recognizing the outstanding community volunteers who dedicate their time and talents to benefit individuals with behavioral health needs and developmental disabilities.”
