Fredericksburg (WFVA) -- This Saturday your mail person will bring your mail and pick up non-perishable food items for the 21st annual National Food Drive to Stamp Out Hunger. It's the largest one-day food drive in the nation. You can leave donations at your mail box or at the Post Office. It will end up at the Fredericksburg Area Food Bank and then by early next week at food pantries around the area. 90-thousand pounds was collected last year. Oliver is hoping to break the 100-thousand mark this year. Oliver said it's crucial you participate because soon school will be out. She said many kids depend on breakfast and lunch at school. When summer comes there's more pressure on families to provide three meals each day.
