GOP Candidates Campaign In Spotsy
The three Republican statewide candidates made Spotsylvania their last stop of a three day tour around Virginia. Candidate for Governor Ken Cuccinelli said jobs would be the top issue. Lt Governor candidate E-W Jackson said comments he's made in the past about gays, abortion and President Obama are not tied to hate but tied to his Christian beliefs. “It’s not because I hate anybody, but because I have religious values that matter to me. So attacking me because I adhere to those principles is attacking every churchgoing person, every family that’s living a traditional family life, everybody that believes we all deserve to live. I don’t have anything to rephrase or apologize for," Jackson said. “People should not paint me as one-dimensional,” he said. “I have a whole lot of concerns.”
