Northern Neck Seafood Company Suing Over Spoiled Crab Meat

(Norfolk)- A Northumberland County seafood company is suing two cargo carriers over a boat load of spoiled crab meat. Little River Seafood says more than half-a-million-dollars’ worth of the crab meat got too warm as it was being shipped from Indonesia last summer. The lawsuit claims the cargo of cans reached a temperature of 80-degrees, which is well above the 38-degree mark Little River Seafood requested. They’re looking to get paid back for the fair market value of the crab meat and court-related fees.
